The Miami Heat have evened up their NBA Finals series with the Oklahoma City Thunder at 1 each after getting a 100 to 96 victory at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The Heat, looking to be aggressive after the game one loss, jumped out to an early 18-2 lead and never fell behind. LeBron James finished with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh finished with 24 and 16 points respectively. Bosh also contributed 15 rebounds.
“Rebounding has been a big emphasis for us, it’s something we can get better at and I just wanted to do my part and help out on defense,” Bosh said after the game. “I thought I needed to give the effort tonight that I’d been giving before whether I was ready or not. I just wanted to be more aggressive.”
Kevin Durant also had 32 points but was hindered by foul trouble most of the night, picking up 5. Russell Westbrook flirted with a triple-double notching 27 points 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the loss.
All of the super stars take their talents to South Beach for game three on Sunday. Watch highlights courtesy of NBA TV.
