@_MalcolmButler skateboarding up the road to success!

November 5th, 2012 | By love not hate

Recently we’ve discovered a new Atlanta based skater who’s really pushing it to the limits. When we got a chance to catch up with Malcolm Butler he was over at a skateboard practicing his stalls in a pool bowl! Excuse me if I dont know all the lingo but this guy really makes getting on a board with 2 sets of wheels look like cake, but trust me its far from it. I thought with all the motor experience I have, roller skating history, and Bike riding that I would get on a skateboard and skate as if I really had what it takes, I was wrong! SKATERS I can honestly say I take my hats off to you.  Guys this is no easy ride whatsoever and you’ll only get far with this with experience. I honestly thought I’d brake every bone in my body lol!

Malcolm says he been skating for almost 3 years and he’s preparing to build his brand to be the next break through skater with his own skateboards and fashion line.. check Malcolm and you determine for yourself sk8andfashion.wordpress.com

Madonna bust it open for a tabletop!

October 15th, 2012 | By love not hate

As if she needed an excuse to take her clothes off, this time Madonna stripped for Malala Yousafzai - the Pakistani girl who was shot twice in the head by a Taliban thug.

As if she needed an excuse to take her clothes off, this time Madonna stripped for Malala Yousafzai – the Pakistani girl who was shot twice in the head by a Taliban thug.

Madonna took a break from stripping on stage for her fans’ cheers on her “MDNA” tour to baring her flesh for a cause.

The Material Girl addressed the plight of 14-year-old Malala Yousafzai – the Pakistani girl who was shot twice in the head by a Taliban thug for being an activist for women’s education – during her concert Wednesday night at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.

Then the 53-year-old pop-star put an exclamation point on her political protest by dedicating an on-stage strip tease to the girl, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

REVIEW: MADONNA’S ‘MDNA’ SHOW SHOWS EXTRA OOMPH

“This made me cry,” Madonna told the crowd, “The 14-year-old Pakistani girl who was shot on a schoolbus for writing a blog about how important education was to her. The Taliban stopped her bus and shot her … Do you understand the sickness and absurdity of this?”

She then shouted to the Los Angelinos: “Support education! Support the people who support women!”

That message wasn’t enough, however, for Madonna.

Later in the show, she dedicated her song, “Human Nature” to the young Pakistani hero – but not before stripping down into a black bra and panties.

Turning around, she revealed the name “Malala” scrawled across her back, NBC’s “Today” reported.

Pakistani hospital workers carry injured Malala Yousafzai, 14, on a stretcher at a hospital after being shot twice in the head on Oct. 9.

The political protest though was seen as a naked publicity stunt by detractors.

“Get it Right: Associating #Madonna with #Malala IS DISRESPECT TO #Malala!!! Plz. Give #Malala a rest!” tweeted @OHPakistan to NBC News.

While Madonna was peeling out of her costume Wednesday, Yousifazi was in critical condition fighting for her life. She had started her defiance against the Taliban, who controlled the Swat Valley at the time with rampant beheadings, at the ripe old age of 11, writing a blog under a pen name for the BBC.

Since the Taliban were driven out of rule in the region by the Pakistani military, Malala came forward as a symbol of women’s rights and won a national peace award.

Madonna, meanhwile, has become a lightning rod for criticism as she continues her “MDNA” tour. Last month, she demanded that fans support the “black Muslim in the White House” – a comment she later claimed to lampoon right-wingers who question President Obama’s religion.

That controversy came a month after Madonna dropped the use of a Nazi swastika super-imposed over the face of a right-wing French politician in a video clip played during her concert amid backlash and legal threats.

Sexy Winter Styling Tips

September 11th, 2012 | By

This winter will be hot with these sexy looks!!!!!

Wear a Tuxedo Jacket Out at Night

Just because it’s too chilly to don a dress,  doesn’t mean you can’t rock a super-hot date-night look. In a slim-cut, white  jacket, Jessica Alba proved that menswear can be seductive.

A Fur Collar Makes Any Outfit Cooler

Add a fur (we prefer faux) collar, shrug or scarf over  your jacket or coat and you’ll instantly look more stylish. Rihanna used this  trick to dress up jeans and a T-shirt.

Invest in a Statement Coat

Olivia Wilde’s Chanel topper is so gorgeous it doesn’t  matter what she was wearing underneath. Look for a version with jewel  embellishments and a fun pattern or fabric.

Mix Bold Colors

On the set of Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester  paired an orange, printed coat with a blue cap. Try combining hues that seem to  clash for a quirky-cute result.

Take it to the Max in Thigh-High Boots

Nothing says sexy quite like a pair of black, leather,  over-the-knee boots. Kim Kardashian lives by this rule.

Opt for Red-Hot Red

If you’re going to add one color to your wardrobe this  season, it should be red. Eve got it right in this crimson ensemble.

Go All-Black—With Texture

If you’re going to wear this non-color from head to  toe, follow Diane Kruger’s lead and make sure the pieces have texture (leather,  fur, feathers and braiding in her case). This will keep the look from feeling  flat and funeral.

Puffer-Up on the Weekends

Sometimes you just want to be comfortable, and  nothing’s better than a down jacket. Gwen Stefani paired hers with downtown  accessories—a slouchy messenger bag and patent-leather oxfords—for a  cool-meets-cozy result.

Yes, You Can Wear White…

…just make sure it’s creamy, winter white in a rich,  warm fabric. Camilla Belle mixed the color with gold for an even more luxe  effect.

Layer Leather for a Cool-Girl Look

Ashlee Simpson knows the formula for sexy-edgy style:  leather leggings, a leather jacket, a silky blouse and sky-high heels.

Top if Off with a Great Hat

Whether you prefer floppy like Nicole Richie’s or a  cute, knitted style, you need a great hat to get you through the winter. Pick up  a different one for each of your favorite coats.

Go Long All Year

Summer’s maxi-skirt trend is here to stay. Olivia  Palermo transitioned hers perfectly by piling on a long-sleeve blouse and furry  vest.

Let Your Jacket do the Talking

Layer a bright coat over an all-black ensemble like  Alicia Keys—we love the Kelly green hue and spiky shoulders.

What did I tell you. Yall will be so hot this winter the cold outside won’t mean a thing to yall.

5 Ways To Wear White After Labor Day!

September 4th, 2012 | By

We’ve all heard it before: “No white after Labor Day!”  Its a rule that seems to govern our wardrobe changes around this time of year, but is it written in stone?

As Labor Day approaches, this question is on the forefront of many fashionistas’ minds, but before you clean out your closet, take a moment to consider whether this is a valid rule or an outdated remnant of the past.

Perhaps a white linen dress is inappropriate for a 50-degree day, but a chunky off-white scarf, like the one by Ralph Lauren, could be just the thing to spruce up a dark, drab winter ensemble.  The question is not so much whether white is acceptable in the winter, but rather, how can it be done tastefully.

Here are a list of rules to help you conquer white after Labor Day:

 5. Stay away from lightweight fabrics. Fabrics like white linen are designed to shade the skin from direct contact with the sun, while allowing for ventilation in warm weather.  Such fabrics serve both a practical and fashionable purposes during the summer,  but are totally inappropriate for the cooler months.

4. Avoid wearing white from head to toe after labor day. While your all white outfit looked fresh and summary as you basked in the June sun, it may very well give you the opposite effect in December.  Avoid appearing white washed by limiting yourself.  After all, there’s nothing cute about blending in with the snow! Try mixing it up; pair that white shirt with dark pants to balance your look.

3. Try off-white hues. You can still achieve the same bright glory by using similar tones.  A light cream colored coat will provide the same effect in a more subtle way.

2. Merchandise it up! Adding accessories to your winter white can help to acclimate it.  An off-white blazer with a heavy statement belt will make it look current, and not like you are still wearing your summer clothes in the fall.

1. Wear your winter-white with confidence! Learn the rules for pulling off the look and then Rock It Out!  After all, you have to master the rules before you can break them.

Beyonce’s baby–no, not Blue Ivy–has had a chic rebirth. Queen Bey has House of Dereon’s Fall collection is slowly making its debut and it’s obvious, Beyonce’s coming for every ready-to-wear designer out there. Something tells me Solange had something to do with the breath of fresh air that was breathed into House of Dereon. It has effortlesslytrendy written all over it.

I’ve always been the biggest Dereon critic, twisting my mouth into a snarl while turning my nose up in disgust at the two seams away from Baby Phat clothing. But not this time!

Beyonce’s House of Dereon Fall 2012 collection is, in a word…fierce! Leopard chiffon skirts with slits up to here, structured dresses with cutouts and high-waisted printed pants. I am 100% sold. So was Bey because she’s the only one modeling the collection in the campaign. Check out some of the standout pieces below!

Most expensive lip stick!

August 15th, 2012 | By love not hate

A French cosmetic company named Guerlain stood out among other lipstick manufacturing companies after introducing the KissKiss lipstick in 2005 for a staggering price tag of 62,000 USD – the most expensive lipstick ever made.

The justification? It is not the dazzling and softening effect of Kisskiss lipstick that cost it a huge 62 thousand bucks, but the luxurious lipstick case. Picture a lipstick packaging made up of 110 gram of 18-carat yellow gold encrusted with 119 bits of 2.2-carat diamonds.
When Guerlain lipstick designer, Herve Van Der Straeten, was asked why he created this, he replied: “Lipstick is simple, yet mysterious. This element of surprise creates curiosity and longing, which is what I hope each woman experiences when she clutches KissKiss Gold and Diamonds in the heart of her hand. It is powerful and unimaginable, unique and desired, obtainable and unobtainable at the same time.” Does his dreamy description sell you on ordering one for yourself or for your partner, perhaps?

How to get a Explosion design tape mani yourself!!!!!

August 14th, 2012 | By

Start with the base color you like (if necessary with a basecoat underneath) and let it dry completely. To speed up the drying process you can apply a fast drying topcoat. You can use  Seche Vite, which enables you to place the tape strips on your nails after about 10 minutes.

Now cut some triangles out of tape to make the ‘explosion’ shape. The way you can do it is by first cutting off a little piece of the tape roll which I then cut in half diagonally, like shown in the picture(s). Of course you can do the cutting before step 1.

Now place the triangles one by one, next to each other on one corner of the nail, in a slight curve. This will create the ‘explosion’ shape. It’s your choice to make the shape at the cuticles or the tip, however my experience is that it’s a lot easier near the tip, like shown in the picture. Because that way you’re polishing away from the tape, reducing the chance of polish seeping underneath. Also you don’t have to reckon with cuticles nearby. Make sure all the pieces of tape are completely stuck to the nail, if not use your finger or a tweezer to push them down and if needed reattach them.

Then apply your first layering color with a thin coat and carefully peel off the pieces of tape right away. Try to peel them off individually, if you can, because most of the time your design will come out neater this way. Then let the design dry for a while, use a fast drying topcoat to quicken the drying if needed.

When the polish is entirely dry, you can start the taping process once again with your second layering color. Only this time place the triangles a bit more towards the tip, covering up part of the first layering color like shown in the picture. Apply your second layering polish and remove the tape strips as soon as possible.

At last apply your topcoat, clean up and you’re done! Don’t forget to moisterize your cuticles afterwards, because the tape can really dry out your skin! Use this design for a full mani or cute accent nails.

When you’re going for a full mani, you can do the design on different spots on each nail for a playful look.

Finally some useful tips:
  • For my tape manis, all I use is regular stationery tape. But you might prefer something else, so just experiment with different sorts of tape to figure out what works best for you.
  • For your base color you can use any polish you like, however one-coaters will allow you to place the tape much sooner because those are usually fast drying. Of course you can also quicken the drying of polishes that require several coats to cover, by applying a fast drying topcoat. (I use Seche Vite).
  • Your layering color(s) can be either a one- or two-coater. Because you’ve already applied a base color, most polishes that usually take two coats to cover now will do with one.
  • Though I mention cutting the tape strips as step 2, I admit it is safer to cut before applying the base color. However, if you’ve learned how to cut the tape without having it touch your polished nails, it can save you a lot of time.
  • You might want to leave the cut strips somewhere else than the edge of your desk/table, to prevent them from getting stuck to the surface while you’re busy. You do not want to have to peel them off with your freshly painted claws!
  • Apply your top color in one thin (but opaque) coat, this will create crisper lines.
  • When you’re removing the tape strips, try to remove them individually, if you can, because most of the time your design will come out neater this way
  • Using tweezers to remove the tape strips can prevent your freshly painted nails from getting smudged.
  • It’s not always necessary to start all over if you’ve messed up your design, often a little touch-up with a nailart brush can solve the problem.
  • If you want to use a matt topcoat, use a regular one underneath. My experience with matt topcoats is that they smudge the design very easily, even when it’s completely dry. Applying a normal topcoat first will prevent that.
  • Moisterize your cuticles afterwards, because the tape can really dry out your skin!
  • You can practice this tutorial on your old mani that you applied a day (or more) before. If you succeed, you’ve got yourself a fresh mani, otherwise you were going to remove it anyway!
  • If you feel like this design is too time-consuming for a full mani, you can also use it for an accent nail (or two).
  • Have fun and practice makes perfect ;)

Romeo Shows Off His Abs On Rolling Out Magazine [PHOTO]

July 11th, 2012 | By

Romeo is all grown up and showing off his abs, but considering that I’m old enough to be his mama…ladies please enjoy the view.

So now that I have your attention, he told the mag:

On what makes a woman sexy: “Education; gotta be a smart woman and independent. Good heart; everyone loves a woman who loves kids and their outlook on life is positive. You gotta know how to cook. If you don’t know how to cook then that’s a problem, especially if you’re from the South like me. And give good massages. I could keep going.”

On what he wants to be remembered for: “I’m just trying to follow in my father’s footsteps and what he did. But the main thing is, I just want to make a difference. We use this entertainment, and what we do to make a difference in the world and help save lives and inspire kids. That’s what they say in the Bible, “God gives you a talent, you got to use that talent to inspire others.” At the end of the day it’s all about making a difference for our community and our future. So I kind of want to be the president without being the president really. I’m a let Barack Obama be the real president, but I’ll be in the foreshadow just playing my part in the community and just making a difference. And that’s why we work so hard. The bigger star you are the bigger amount of people you can reach out to.”

On staying relevant: “I think a lot of artists don’t understand the concept of change. It’s just like, life because as a kid growing up in the business, I saw my father evolve every few years. Just knowing that everything is going to change with time and nothing stays the same. I remember I used to wear baggy jeans and everybody used to have their throwback jerseys. There’s no way I would wear those kind of clothes now. But just like fashion changes, your body, mind and life change as well.”

Tyler Perry defends Bobbi Kristina: Leave her alone

Tyler Perry defends Bobbi Kristina: Leave her alone

Although reports have suggested the contrary, Bobbi Kristina didn’t walk off the set of Tyler Perry’s “For Better or Worse” because she’s grieving the recent death of her mother, Whitney Houston.

The 19-year-old has simply completed her duties, a source close to Tyler Perry tells CNN.

The prolific filmmaker also said as much on his website, explaining that “there is no way [Bobbi Kristina] could have walked off the set because we have finished taping for the season.”

Perry went on to describe how he came to write Bobbi Kristina into his TBS show following Houston’s death, because the teen had mentioned a desire to act.

“I thought that there would be no better way for me to help her move through the grieving than by giving her something to focus on,” he wrote. “The one thing that I learned after my mother’s death is that you have to keep busy and you have to be around people who you can trust, so that when you do grieve you can do it in the safety and privacy of people that care.”

Bobbi Kristina did have some tough days, Perry said, “not because of any acting or job-related issues but because of the fact that she had just lost her mother.”

Having seen the death of his own mom, Perry added that he understands what the teen is going through.

“So yes she was grieving, but grief aside, she managed to finish her obligation and did a great job at the same time,” he said of the budding entertainer. “So please… PLEASE LEAVE THIS BABY ALONE!!!! AND SHE IS A BABY!!! Please stop the lies and give this child some room to breathe and grieve.”
