R&B diva Keyshia Cole is gearing up to premiere a new reality series titled “Family First,” where she will give viewers a glimpse into her personal life once again. The show which will be similar to her prior BET series “Keyshia Cole: The Way it Is,” and it will also revolve around her immediate family. The show will feature hubby Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, son Daniel  Jr. aka DJ, and yes Momma Frankie will also be in the mix.

Over the weekend Keyshia was spotted filming for the series in Santa Monica along with her adorable 2-year-old son and her hubby “Boobie.” The trio spent a fun filled day in the park and their cute little pup also tagged along with the bunch. They laid out in the nice weather and enjoyed each other’s company while also celebrating Mother’s Day. However, it seems as though these activities were just the tip of the iceberg as Daniel later tweeted “Spoiling Key Mama Gibson Mama Frankie & Mrs. Cole. Treating like the Queens they are.”

“Family First” is scheduled to debut on BET later this year.  During the season viewers will get to see behind the scenes of the making of Keyshia Cole’s fifth studio album. The show will also portray her relationship with new manager Kevin Liles and will feature a big wedding in which the Gibson’s will renew their vowels.

Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj was queen of the night at KIIS FM’s Wango Tango at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. on Saturday.  Decked out in all white with Air Force 1 sneakers, the blonde Barb put on a royal performance following sets from J. Cole, B.o.B, Wiz Khalifa, and Big Sean.  She opened with “Roman Holiday” before delivering cleaned-up versions of “Did It On’em,” “I Am Your Leader,” and “Beez in the Trap.”

Nicki will headline several other radio concerts across the country before kicking off the European leg of her “Pink Friday” tour in early June.  She will return to the U.S. in July for more dates.

Check out the first five minutes of her white-hot set below.

Summer Jam’s main attractions

Often, the biggest names at Summer Jam are the ones who aren’t announced — they get helicoptered in at the last minute, amidst crowd pandemonium. Nevertheless, the annual concert — billed by host Hot 97 (WQHT) as the world’s biggest hip-hop show — returns to MetLife Stadium on June 3 with several crowd-pleasers already scheduled to perform. Nicki Minaj, who added a much-needed distaff voice to Summer Jam 2010, returns two years as a pop crossover superstar. The rotund, raspy-voiced Rick Ro$$, one of last year’s main attractions, will be taking along his entire Maybach Music crew for backup. Southern spazz-rapper Waka Flocka, who hit — and popularized a catchphrase — with “Hard in da Paint,” brings his propulsive act back to the Meadowlands. And Trey Songz, whose smoldering 2010 Summer Jam R&B set had young women passing out in the aisles (and their boyfriends nervously checking their bicepts) will heat up the East Rutherford swamps in 2012.

Other announced performers: DJ Khaled, whose “All I Do Is Win” was an unoffical Summer Jam anthem two years ago, witty Wale, who has lately transformed himself from an underground favorite to a mainstream hitmaker, the pugnacious Maino, the diminished but still relevant Young Jeezy, and bubbling-under Meek Mill, who stands a decent chance of following his mentor Rick Ro$$ to mainstream recognition.  There’ll be some (relatively) fresh faces, too: the affable Big Sean, Jay-Z protege J. Cole, quick-rhyming Young Money emcee Tyga, French Montana, Mavado, and 2 Chainz, who features prominently on “Beez in the Trap,” Nicki Minaj’s latest hit. And what about that Black Hippy collective that’s been making so much noise lately? Well, Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q will be joining Pusha T and Big K.R.I.T. on the Village pre-show stage. That’s a heck of a lot of talent on the undercard; hopefully, Hot 97 will deem those rappers worthy of mainstage performances next year.

Nicki Minaj will make her debut as the face of the new Pepsi beverage, “Pop,” when her first commercial airs Monday. The commercial, titled “Now in the Moment” features a freshly remixed version of Minaj’s hit “Moment for Life” and will be part of Pepsi’s global campaign “Live For Now.” In a still from the commercial, Minaj is showing off her fierce fashion sporting a pinked-out futuristic dress and matching tresses.

“Live For Now” is a recently launched campaign which invites consumers to live each moment to the fullest through music and entertainment. Nicki is joined by fellow female superstar in the music biz, Katy Perry, for the new ad campaign. Pepsi announced this week that Perry would join “Live For Now” and that they will be partnering with Perry to promote her upcoming concert movie “Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D” which hits theaters July 5th.

Pepsi also struck a deal with Michael Jackson’s estate to feature footage of the King of Pop in the new “Live For Now” ads, AP reports. Pepsi fans in the United States and China will be the first to see the new ads, which are timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of MJ’s hit Bad. The campaign will feature Michael Jackson Pepsi cans and chances for fans to win Jackson-inspired leather jackets.
