Lil Kim calls Nicki Minaj a very obnoxious person

May 18th, 2012 | By love not hate

Lil’ Kim was very forthcoming during her interview with New York Power 105′s Breakfast Club morning show on Thursday (May 17), especially about her feud with Nicki Minaj.

Before Kimmy Blanco began fielding Nicki Minaj questions from show hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee, she questioned why media outlets don’t grill Ms. Minaj like they do her. “She has a way of trying to avoid the situation, and y’all let her do it,” Kim charged before she hit on the root of their issue.

Lil’ Kim: ‘I Have To Fight For My Fans’

According to the Queen Bee, she was on pace to sign with Cash Money, the same label that made Nicki a star. “Me and Slim were friends for four years, and we decided that we were going to go into business together,” Kim said of her plans with CM co-CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams. “I was over there with Cash Money — I was getting ready to be partners with them.”

The deal didn’t go through, but Kim did record “Grinding Makin’ Money,” a track that included both Birdman and Minaj. The Notorious K.I.M. claims that the track was slated for Birdman’s 2009 album Priceless but didn’t make the final cut. “They put the record out. I guess they didn’t like the response — they saw the response and they pulled the record off, pulled it back, never put it on his album, nothing,” Kim said.

In the Big Momma’s mind, the single was to be beneficial to all parties. For Nicki and Cash Money, doing a song with the female rap great would help stamp a then-budding Minaj. In addition, it would put Kim back into rotation at radio, an important step in restarting her career after she was released from federal prison in 2006. But Birdman and company went cold on the track. “If that would’ve been a big video and a big event record, that would’ve been big for both of us,” Lil’ Kim reasoned. “But I personally think they didn’t want me to stand beside her, which is stupid.”

Kim went on to claim that Nicki’s new record “Automatic” is strikingly similar to an unreleased record of the same name that she recorded and played for Cash Money brass three years ago.

“On her new album, she has a song called ‘Automatic,’ and the song is so similar to the song that I played for Slim,” Kim charged. “The problem with her is she was very catty with it. I never had a problem with her — I was always, always nice with her, always. She was a very obnoxious person, but I was always nice with her.”

A human finger found in boy Arby’s Sandwich!

May 18th, 2012 | By love not hate

A Michigan teen ordered a junior roast beef sandwich at a local Arby’s restaurant, only to make a gruesome discovery halfway through the meal.

Ryan Hart, 14, of Blackman Township, said he had nearly polished off his sandwich last Friday when he sunk his teeth into something tough that tasted like rubber, so he spit it out.

As the boy discovered to his horror, the chewy bit was the back of a finger, including the fleshly pad and extending beyond the first. The gristly find was about one-inch long and a quarter-inch thick.

‘I was about to puke …it was just nasty,’ he told the Jackson Citizen Patriot.

An Arby’s employee apparently cut off a part of her digit on a meat slicer and left her station without immediately notifying anyone, said Steve Hall, the environmental health director for the Jackson County Health Department.

The injured worker’s colleagues continued filling orders at the busy eatery before they became aware of what happened, Hall added.

John Gray, a spokesman for Atlanta-based Arby’s, released a statement on Wednesday apologizing for what he described as an isolated and ‘unfortunate incident.’

He has determined that workers at the Arby’s on North West Avenue in Jackson shut down food production as soon as they found out what happened and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the restaurant.

The employee who lost her finger was treated at a hospital. Gray said the franchise was allowed to remain open.

Ryan’s mother, Jamie Vail, was outraged. She and a friend had taken Ryan and his 11-year-old brother to the Arby’s drive-through for lunch, and she thought her son was joking when he exclaimed he had found a piece of a finger in his sandwich.

‘Somebody loses a finger, and you keep sending food out the window? I can’t believe that,’ said Vail.

All four had ordered roast beef, and after the gruesome discovery was made, they threw out the leftover food.

Vail said she called 911 and met police at a local hospital, where her son’s blood was drawn and he was prescribed medication, although he refused to take it, fearing side effects.

The boy said he is feeling fine, but a bit concerned.

According to Veil, her son has been having difficulty sleeping, and she described him as ‘traumatized.’ by the experience.

Vail said she has been in touch with a lawyer, but has not decided whether or not to sue the fast food chain.

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • The sun will appear as a thin ring behind the moon
  • The annular eclipse will be visible in parts of the western U.S. and Asia
  • Thousands of people plan to attend viewing parties along its path
  • More than 80% of the sun will be blocked during the eclipse

(CNN) — Thousands of people are planning viewing parties in the western United States for Sunday’s annular solar eclipse, a rare event in which the sun will appear as a thin ring behind the moon.

The eclipse will be visible on a path from northwestern Texas through New Mexico, northeastern Arizona, southern Utah, Nevada, northern California and southwestern Oregon late in the day on May 20.

The eclipse actually begins in Asia on the morning of May 21, when it will be visible in southern Japan and southern China.

“I recommend anyone who has the chance to see this, because while they do happen occasionally, it’s a fairly rare event,” said Jeffrey Newmark, a solar physics specialist with NASA. “It’s a neat thing to see.”

Solar eclipse coming this weekend

The last annular eclipse appeared in the United States in 1994.

More than 1,000 people may flood the small town of Kanarraville, Utah — population 300 — to get one of the best views of Sunday’s event, said Bonnie Char, spokeswoman for the Cedar City-Brian Head Tourism Bureau.

County and town authorities plan to provide everything from food to portable toilets to accommodate the crowds, and sheriff’s deputies and police officers will be directing traffic, Char said. The town is calling the eclipse “the ring of fire.”

The Brian Head Resort is opening its ski lift so people can watch the eclipse from atop the mountain peak of more than 11,000 feet. For $8, visitors will get a ride up the mountain and solar glasses with which to view the eclipse before the sun sets behind the nearby mountains, Char said.

The Fleischmann Planetarium at the University of Nevada, Reno and the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, California, are among those holding viewing parties.

The CapRock Winery in Lubbock, Texas, is inviting people to sit outside on blankets — glass of wine in hand — to see the eclipse. Eclipse viewers can also sit among the ancient springs of the Lubbock Lake Landmark at an event hosted by the South Plains Astronomy Club.

Professors, staff, students and amateur astronomers plan to gather at New Mexico Tech’s Magdalena Ridge Observatory, where several telescopes made for solar viewing will be used, said physics student Curtis Warren.

“I’m very excited about the event,” he told CNN. “MRO sits on top of South Baldy Mountain, at about 10,000 feet. I’ve never before seen an annular eclipse so I’m not really sure what exactly to expect, though my guess is that it will be quite spectacular.”

The whole eclipse will last for a couple of hours as the moon passes in front of the sun, creating a partial eclipse. The actual annular portion, in which the sun appears as a thin ring, will be about four minutes long, Newmark said.

More than 80% of the sun will be blocked out during the apex, he said. Outside of the eclipse’s narrow path of less than 200 feet, people will be able to see only a partial eclipse.

“This will cause less change in the daylight than you might think,” said Alan MacRobert, a senior editor at Sky & Telescope magazine. “Moderately thin clouds would dim the sunlight more. And if you’re where the eclipse is only partial, the dimming will be less.”

Newmark said people should not peer up at the sky to view the solar event without special viewing equipment. Viewing the sun with the naked eye can cause blindness.

Eclipse glasses, welder’s goggles or an astronomer’s filter made for sun viewing are recommended if people want to look skyward.

Another way to view the eclipse is by using binoculars and telescopes to project an image of it on the ground, Newmark said. Point the binoculars or telescopes at the sun — without looking through the lenses — and aim the other end onto a piece of paper or cardboard.

In northern Utah, “ecliptomaniacs” are planning to travel south to view the event, said Patrick Wiggins, a NASA ambassador in Salt Lake City. He is planning to lead his own contingent to the Cedar City area.

He said astronomy club members “realize they could either drive four hours to see the eclipse or wait 11 years for the next one.”

Wiggins said he always looks forward to seeing people’s reactions to an eclipse.

“You get everything from stoic, staring into the sky … to people breaking down and crying, they’re just so moved,” he said

Who’s the TOP power couple in the industry? SHOCKING RESULTS!

gty brad pitt angelina jolie 120226 wblog Brangelina, Beyonce and Jay Z, or Bundchen and Brady: Whos the Top Power Couple on Forbes Celebrity 100?

Forbes just released its yearly list of the 100 most influential celebrities, and the results might surprise.

The top spot — in a list containing Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg — went to Jennifer Lopez.

It was power to the pop stars, with six of the top 10 spots being grabbed by singers – teen idol Justin Bieber landed at number three.

The dark horses included Ray Romano, who doesn’t currently have a show on the air but rakes it in from reruns. There were some newcomers, like electronic music maestro Skrillex, and a lot of comedians and comedic actors made the list, among them: Ben Stiller, Larry the Cable Guy, Tina Fey and Melissa McCarthy.

The list — which Forbes says reflect money, publicity and social media buzz — also includes three couples: Angelina Jolie (13) and Brad Pitt (28), Beyonce Knowles (16) and Jay-Z (38), and Gisele Bundchen (61) and Tom Brady (60).

So which is the prime pair?

  • This year Jolie released her directorial debut with “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” her legs nearly stole the show at the Oscars. While her new fiancé was nominated for his role in “Moneyball,” their impending marriage is attracting immense buzz.
  • Jay-Z and Beyonce’s baby buzz wasn’t exactly tiny. Their combined power was enough to shut down a whole maternity ward – and they even trademarked Blue Ivy’s name.
  • Bundchen is ubiquitous as the world’s top supermodel, plus she inflamed New England Patriots fans when she lashed out at hubby Tom Brady’s teammates after their Super Bowl loss.

If you add the individual rankings to form a crude combined ranking of these supercouples, Brangelina wins (41), with Beyonce and Jay-Z coming in second (54) and Gisele and Tom in third (121).

But some might say publicity is nebulous, and social media buzz is mere hype that doesn’t really mean much yet to those outside Silicon Valley and New York City. That leaves cold, hard cash — which Forbes estimates in a column showing each celebrity’s yearly earnings.

Accolades and bridal buzz aside, the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Jolie-Pitt (or Pitt, or Pitt-Jolie, or whatever) pulled in $45 million.

Between Gisele’s fashion empire and Brady’s football throwing — not catching — prowess, Bundchen and Brady manage an upset, coming in number two with $72 million.

But Beyonce and Jay-Z topped them both, racking up $78 million ways to make sure Baby-Z never has to worry about a thing.

John Travolta tries to give head to man while he was asleep???

May 17th, 2012 | By love not hate

John Travolta tried to give his Grease co-star Jeff Conaway oral sex while he was sleeping, it has been claimed.

Travolta allegedly tried to perform the act at Conaway’s home in the 1990s, Conaway’s former fiancée Vikki Lizzi told the National Enquirer.

She said that her partner, who played Kenickie in the 1978 hit movie, was so upset with the incident it ended his long-term friendship with the star.

Claims: John Travolta (left) tried to give his Grease co-star Jeff Conaway (right) oral sex while he was sleeping, Conaway’s former fiancée has said

She said Conaway, who appeared in Grease on Broadway with Travolta before the pair were cast in the film, made the claim in a suicide note.

It was left, she said, after a failed bid to kill himself in 2006. He died last May, aged 60, from complications of pneumonia.

She also alleged that Conaway said Travolta, 58, and his wife, Kelly Preston, were locked in a sham marriage.

She told Star magazine: ‘Jeff told me that John and Kelly’s marriage was an arrangement.

‘Jeff said that Kelly knows that John is gay, and that’s why she’s OK with it.’

Another source alleged in Star that Preston signed a contract with Travolta when they were wed, though the source did not know its details.

The claims came as another hotel masseur claimed he had a homosexual tryst with John Travolta.

Unlike the first two – one of whom withdrew his lawsuit on Tuesday and the first accuser who dropped his case – this latest man to come forward with gay sex claims involving the actor is named.

Former massage therapist Luis Gonzalez said he spent an afternoon with the Pulp Fiction star at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Laguna Niguel, California, in 1997.

Meanwhile, another unnamed man made claims yesterday that Travolta accosted him – making it the fifth man to make allegations about the star.

The man – a gym employee – has accused Travolta of fondling him against his wishes when he worked out at the gym while he was shooting a movie, according to RadarOnline.

However no details were reported regarding the time frame or location. Travolta’s lawyer Marty Singer has denied the allegations.

Last week Fabian Zanzi became the third man to accuse Travolta of accosting him back in 2009 while he was working on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

Gonzalez made his claims to the National Enquirer magazine in the US, saying of the actor: ‘He’s a great kisser. I know because I had sex with him and he loved it.’

He also claimed that the married actor seemed ‘very experienced’ at gay sex. ‘I can remember it like it happened yesterday,’ he added.

The masseur said the rendezvous started minutes after he set up his table in Mr Travolta’s room.

The actor reportedly stripped down and said it was too warm for a top sheet.

Mr Gonzalez described how Travolta became aroused soon after lying on the table.

‘He moved around and started to breathe heavily,’ he alleged.

‘We got right into the bed that was right there next to the massage table and had a really good time.’

The 49-year-old, who is now living overseas, said he had massaged the actor several times since first meeting him in 1988 without anything sexual happening.

‘Travolta may not identify himself as a gay man, but it doesn’t dismiss the fact that he likes sex with men .. and he’s experienced at it,’ he claimed.

‘I was in shock for about a week afterward thinking, ‘I can’t believe it! I had sex with John Travolta! I was hoping to see him again after that, but I never did,’ he alleged in the Enquirer.

The first masseur who claimed last week that he was groped by Mr Travolta during a private massage in Beverly Hills in January was forced to drop his case after it emerged that the actor was 3,000 miles away in New York at the time of the alleged incident.

But he hired celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred yesterday and was said to be considering whether or not to refile the lawsuit.

‘We are in the process of conferring with him regarding the next steps, which he may wish to take,’ Ms Allred said yesterday.

The other massage therapist accused Mr. Travolta of sexual misconduct at an Atlanta hotel in January.

The star’s lawyer has denied the claims.

‘All black people must leave’ announcement made over walmart PA, man sues 1 million dollars

A Winslow, New Jersey man, is suing Wal-Mart for $1 million because he claims he was traumatised by a public address announcement directed at black shoppers.

Donnell Battie claims that the intercom system at the Wal-Mart on the Black Horse Pike in Washington Township was hijacked and someone announced, ‘Attention, Wal-Mart customers. All black people must leave the store.’

In his lawsuit, Battie says that Wal-Mart was negligent, careless, reckless and showed deliberate indifference in not controlling access to the P.A system.

Phony officer could be killing drivers

May 16th, 2012 | By love not hate

Someone who may be posing as a police officer is pulling cars over on Mississippi highways and then shooting drivers dead, authorities said.

After two such shootings this month, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s help to find the person.

The agency was receiving leads and processing forensic evidence, bureau spokesman Warren Strain said Tuesday.

John Champion, district attorney for the state’s 17th District, said there were no good descriptions of a vehicle.

“Both of the shootings occurred in very remote areas,” Champion told HLN’s Vinnie Politan.

Authorities were asking citizens to be careful if they are pulled over and feel uneasy.

They advise drivers to call 911 and verify that a legitimate officer is pulling them over or drive to a well-lit, crowded place before stopping, actions permitted under Mississippi state law.

“The concern is that someone is posing as a law enforcement officer and that is how these vehicles end up on the side of the road,” said MBI director Lt. Col. Larry Waggoner.

How you can make sure an officer is not an imposter

The first shooting occurred on May 8. Thomas Schlender, 74, was found dead about 1:30 a.m. in his car in the median of southbound Interstate 55 in Panola County.

On Friday, Lori Anne Carswell, 48, was found dead outside her car on the shoulder of Mississippi State Highway 713, in Tunica County, about 2:15 a.m.

The shootings took place about 55 miles apart, and the victims did not know each other, authorities said.
