MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) — A famous rapper is offering some high-tech help to a group of South Florida students.
On Thursday, Rapper Rick Ross donated dozens of iPads to high achieving students at his alma-mater, Carol City High school.
The principal said the gadgets will be used to help students complete their college applications.
The new 15-inch MacBook Pro will be a significant departure from the current design, with a retina display and an ultra-thin profile, 9to5Mac claims, citing sources from Apple’s supply chain.
It will be so thin, in fact, that it won’t have room for an optical drive, just like its lightweight cousin MacBook Air.
Other design changes include a power button on the keyboard itself (replacing the eject button) and, possibly, the lack of an Ethernet port (replaced by an extra Thunderbolt port).

The MacBook Pro’s new retina display — the same technology that’s in the new iPad — is described as “definitely the most important Mac innovation in years” by the sources who’ve handled a prototype of the device. The specifics are unknown, but users should be able to choose between several Retina resolution modes.
Finally, the new 15-inch MacBook Pro will have USB 3.0 support, and the latest Ivy Bridge processors from Intel are a safe bet, too.
If these rumors are true, the new 15-inch MacBook Pro might be one of the most important MacBook devices to see the light of day in recent years.

Back in 05/06, Trina and Lil Wayne were hip-hop’s “it” couple. They often expressed their love for each other in song, and were spotted on red carpets together everywhere. Somewhere something went wrong, and the pair went their separate ways after a few years. “Single Again“, a song Trina released soon after the split, detailed Trina’s pain over the break-up and Weezy even hopped on the remix to say how much he missed her and that they’d soon be together again. We can see there was no love lost. However, Wayne soon reunited with Nivea shortly after the songs and baby number 2, 3 and 4 came along. Fast forward to recently and he was dating and reportedly engaged to a girl named Dhea, but rumor has it even those two have called it quits, as she hasn’t been spotted out with him for some time now. Last night, they both partied together at Miami’s Club LIV for Monica’s album release and word is (though not confirmed) they were all ove3r each other all night. Could they become an item again? So we noticed Will.i.am was doing some very interesting tweeting this morning, and we had to investigate.
He first tweeted: ‘Im in the lobby at capital one radio…trying to hang with Dave and Lisa @958capbreakfast…spontaneous behavior…’ [sic]
And we all collectively said ‘huh?’
He continued tweeting Capital Radio: ‘@958capbreakfast…I was thinking all night on whether I should just drop by capital radio unannounced to play Dave and Lisa my new song…’
And again tweeted: ‘@958capbreakfast…hopefully I get to go on air…I feel like 1992 again trying to get in the bizz…I fell nervous and alive…#thisISlove’
Well he only went and managed to get into the building and onto the show (who in their right mind would turn him away in the first place?) and started to explain to Lisa Snowdon and Dave Berry the deal with dropping by:
‘I remember when I first got into wanting to do music. We used to go to a radio station in Los Angeles and we used to sit in the lobby trying to get on air and it just made me feel alive like I was trying to do something. And we did it, we went on air, we played the song.’ [sic]
Will continued: ‘So I just finished this song a couple of days ago on my laptop, times have changed, we’re not really in the studio, then we filmed the video two days ago here in London and we edited it on laptops.’
The song is called This Is Love and, believe it or not, the record label haven’t even heard the song, but Will explained to Dave and Lisa:
‘Well, what are the other options? We give it to the label and the label does it traditional? Or we break tradition and realise that it’s 2012 and we have laptops and tablets.’

This picture was said to come off a scene from a old movie that was never released way before Rihanna career turned bad gal, called “CRUSH” about two best friends in high school who were badly abused by their boyfriends who then set of to find love with each other. Cut the bullshit, I wanna see the whole freaking movie Im sure if they did this kiss in the school hallway there was more action during homework. What do Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and Joe Jonas have in common? Well, aside from being internationally renowned pop stars, all three are involved in a new campaign Pepsi has just launched. “Live for Now” focuses on the motto “carpe diem” and celebrates spontaneity through events, digital marketing and, of course, musical partnerships.
For Jonas, the opportunity to spread that message fits with his own philosophy about living life to the fullest. “It’s, I think, a good match. A lot of stuff that I love to do is spontaneous, last minute and living in the moment,” he explained to MTV News. “And what better way to encourage people and my fans to be able to live in the moment? ‘Live for Now’ is tweeting about it and getting them involved.”
As for being the face of the campaign alongside Perry and Minaj (whose Pepsi ads already debuted), well, for Joe, that was icing on the cake. “I’m in great company: Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, more people to come, it’s an incredible little circle right now,” he explained.
“So, hopefully, we’ll all be able to do something together one day. But, as for now, just being able to do it individually and encourage their fans, my fans to get out there, or whomever, and be able to send in their little videos or pictures of them doing things that are in the moment.”
And, he added, those moments can be big or small. “I love being able to travel, take trips,” he said. “I called my buddies up. I literally called one of my best friends [brother-in-law Mikey Deleasa], he showed up to my house in New York, and I’m like, ‘Hey, what are you doing tomorrow? Let’s go to Vegas. Let’s do it!’ We had an incredible trip. We went to the Mayweather fight, and living in the moment and having a good time.
“But, if you can’t take Vegas trips on the weekend, there’s amazing things to do probably in your area,” he added. “Or, a road trip with your friends is always great.”
Earlier this month, Pepsi announced that Michael Jackson, who struck a deal with the brand in 1984, will be featured on Pepsi cans as a part of the campaign. The cans arrive Stateside later this month.
Where in the world is André 3000? The reclusive rapper, born Andre Benjamin, was spotted in Dublin, Ireland, where he is getting ready to shoot the Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is by My Side. He didn’t seem too happy to see photographers, covering his face with his jacket and a copy of The Irish Times newspaper as he strolled the streets with a bodyguard.
According to the Irish Film and Television Network, the movie is currently in pre-production and the shoot will last six weeks.
The film, which stars the OutKast member, will explore the rock legend’s early career, including his time spent in England in 1966 and 1967 while working on his classic debut Are You Experienced. John Ridley (Three Kings) will write and direct.
While there are no current plans for a new OutKast album, 3000 is working on a solo project. “I’m going to get back to having fun,” he told GQ.

Forget tennis, Serena Williams got a new sport … the rap game — and she’s making her debut with a brand new song that’s actually pretty catchy.
Apparently BBW’s Evelyn Lozada has found herself in a pot of hotwater. It seems as though the boycott against Evelyn and her soon to be husband getting their own spin off show on VH1 has become a very serious matter. Eve has been getting alot of negative press due to her behavior on BBW. Eve is said to be promoting bullying amongst young children. An online petition has been going around to have the show “Eve and Ocho” cancelled before it even airs.
Alexis M, the organizer of the campaign has been reaching out to major advertisers to make them aware of the depiction of the show. These advertisers includes GM, Burger King as well as others. Alexis is providing these corperate companies with footage of the violence that goes on on BBW in attempt to win them over to her side of the fence. Hmmm I guess we’ll just have to wait to see what will happen.
