Adele’s ex wants royalties for “inspiring” album

CBS) Adele wants her fans to see just how rubbish her ex-boyfriend really is. She said he reportedly wants a cut of the star’s royalties for inspiring the lyrics featured on her hit album “19.”
Their rocky relationship inspired the Grammy-winner to sing her heart out in song.

The 23-year-old singer told the U.K. paper The Sun, “For about a week, he was calling and was deadly serious about it. Finally, I said, ‘Well, you made my life hell, so I lived it and now I deserve it.’”
The songstress continued, “He really thought he’d had some input into the creative process,” then added, “I’ll give him this credit – he made me an adult and put me on the road that I’m traveling.”
Not only is album “19″ still topping the U.K. charts despite being released in 2008, but MTV notes that Adele’s album “21″ has just spent its 14th week at No. 1. It features the song “Rolling in the Deep,” which she performed on “Dancing with the Stars: Tuesday night.
Adele, born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, claims she prefers to listen to pop tunes by Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue.
Adele told The Sun, “I’m a huge fan of pop music. I love it. I don’t listen to music like my own. I just seem to click with the acoustic, honest and moving music.”
“Katy Perry, Rihanna, Britney Spears and Kylie are all great girls and delivering top music. It’s just that I’m not the right fit to perform like that so I’m going down my own path,” she added.
