Chris Brown to release collectible toys line

Controversial R&B star Chris Brown appears to be a big kid at heart.

The 22-year-old has teamed up with new business partner and artist Ron English to release a new line of toys, according to Billboard.

The duo’s exclusive collection of limited-edition toys and original art sculptures – which they’re selling through a company they’ve dubbed Dum English – will go on sale in Los Angeles on May 2.

The venture is an extension of Brown’s MechanicalDummy blog/lifestyle site which showcases his personal street art as well as the art of other up-and-comers.

And there appear to be price points for everyone: A toy necklace reportedly retails for $75, while a life-size fiberglass sculpture costs $20,000.

But hurry – there are reportedly only 1,000 pieces available in the limited-edition toy series, and 20 pieces of the fiberglass sculpture.

Brown, who’s said to be wrapping up work on his fifth studio album, “Fortune,” commended English’s artistic vision in a statement: “Ron has to be the most creative, ‘out there’ artist. His works is so precise but at the same time so unorthodox.”

Chris Brown Releases Link to His New Mixtape “Boy In Detention”

August 5th, 2011 | By love not hate

I’m sure all Chris Brown fans are in a frenzy right now with the release of his new mixtape Boy In Detention. We recently got the art work for the album and now we’ve got the mixtape. I’m currently downloading my version of the mixtape as we speak and listening to it on datpiff.com. Notable people featured on the mixtape are every teenage girl’s dream Justin Beiber, Kevin McCall, Swizz Beatz, Tyga, and Wiz Khalifa just to name a few. This is just a gift for team breezy being that he’s coming out with another album titled Fortune. The album has been promised to be better than F.A.M.E. Personally, I don’t think F.A.M. E. did too bad. Reading from Chris’s tweets though, he seems to be one celeb who is very dedicated to who his fans and always wants to do more. Perhaps this is just another way to show his dedication to team breezy. If you haven’t already downloaded the album yet, click here to get it. If you’ve already gotten your copy, what’s your take on the new mixtape?

Joe Jonas – Joe Jonas Keen To Tour With Chris Brown

July 11th, 2011 | By love not hate

Clean-cut Disney star Joe Jonas is eager to embark on a joint tour with Chris Brown, insisting the embattled R&B singer is top of his “dream list” of road partners.

The Kiss Kiss hitmaker has been working to rebuild his reputation since his 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna, and Brown was given a career boost earlier this year (11) when Jonas recruited him to co-write his debut solo single, See No More.

Jonas had so much fun making the track, he wants to hit the road with Brown too.

He tells Mtv.com, “My dream list, wow… I mean, doing a tour with Chris would be cool. I feel like, musically, we both have the same sounds and we liked working together, so I can see it working.”

Jonas recently missed out on touring with his childhood crush Britney Spears after she opted for an all-girl line-up for her current Femme Fatale trek.

Chris Brown in trouble again — Dropping Gay Slur, and dodges parking ticket

June 22nd, 2011 | By love not hate

Chris Brown put the charms on a parking officer yesterday in L.A. — successfully dodging an expensive ticket — but in the process … he hurled another NASTY homophobic slur.
Before sweet-talking the cop, Brown accused several cameramen of alerting parking enforcement officers that his car was illegally parked, ranting, “Y’all n**gas is weak. Did you all call them to try and film me? Y’ALL N**GAS IS GAY.”

It’s not the first time Brown publicly disparaged gay people.

Back in December, the singer got into a Twitter feud with ex-B2K member Raz B … calling Raz a “homo” and a “d**k in da booty ass lil boy.”

Smells like another insincere apology is in the wind.

We’ve asked it before, we’ll ask it again …

Chris Brown Insists ‘F.A.M.E.’ Was Not A Comeback Album But A ‘Triumph’ What do you think?

June 15th, 2011 | By love not hate

Chris Brown has said that he does not believe his latest album ‘F.A.M.E.’ was not a “comeback album” but an “album of triumph”.

The 22-year-old, whose latest album reached the top of the US charts, has claimed that the record proves all of his haters wrong.

In his cover feature for The Source, Breezy said that his latest LP wasn’t a “comeback album” following his violent break-up from Rihanna in 2009. Breezy has since finished his probation period after the assault as well as receiving a commendation for his community service.

The ‘Look At Me Now’ singer’s reputation suffered a serious dent after the Rihanna incident, but his staunch supporters have been behind him. Breezy insisted that the LP is him “showing and proving everybody wrong”.

Breezy admitted that he does feel pressure because of his status as a celebrity and finds that he is often unable to do what he wants, he said: “The thing I dislike most about my life is living up to everybody’s expectations, never being able to be like, ‘F**k it’, and do what I want to do, not care about someone’s opinion”.
