Ciara on top of her game

Promotions queen Ciara isn’t playing when it comes to “Body Party,” the latest single from her upcoming album One Woman Army. (She also stopped by Idolator HQ last week to hang for a bit — more on that to come.) But the “Goodies” songstress has  been making all kinds of promo rounds in New York and Los Angeles, and accordingly, she can be seen giving all kinds of fierce in April’s issues of Annex Magazine and Vogue.

It’s a given that CiCi looks amazing, and with “Body Party” growing on us a little more each day, she seems primed and ready to officially unleash the One Woman Army era. Go get ‘em — and watch behind-the-scenes footage of her Annex shoot up top.

Ciara Talks New Movie “That’s My Boy” & Not Getting Caught Up In Hollywood

Ciara stars in the new Adam Sandler comedy, That’s My Boy, that comes out June 15, 2012.  She talked to The Madd Hatta Morning Show about how she got the role  in the movie and her new single “Sweat” from the upcoming album, One Woman Army. She also addressed whether or not she has gotten ‘caught up’ in Hollywood.

It’s about balance of work, my core focus is my music but I dream big and hope to do more movies, I just wanna get lost in the work. Get caught up in the work, you don’t wanna get caught up in anything more than that. Thats my goal, to be the best entertainer that I can be.

Ciara is back ready to make you “SWEAT” with 2Chainz

Ciara is back in full force.  After premiering her new single “Sweat” featuring 2 Chainz and promoting the comedy That’s My Boy, the R&B princess jetted to New York to host a listening party for her new album One Woman Army on Wednesday night.  Celebrities and tastemakers packed the room as she played tracks off her first album since 2010’s Basic Instinct.

Her Epic Records boss L.A. Reid and music mogul Jermaine Dupri toasted her with champagne, while guests including pal La La, producer Tricky Stewart, and “X Factor” alum Marcus Canty snacked on cupcakes.

The album, due in October, received rave reviews from attendees.  Among the records heard was a “summer banger” with Rick Ross and a ballad called “Sorry.” DJ SNS also reported hearing a collaboration with Nicki Minaj.

“Hardest @ciara record I’ve heard. She’s reconstructing the lanes. So future,” wrote Patrik Sandberg of V magazine.  “This album is ridiculous. It’s coming for EVERYTHING!”

Ciara Announces Title Of New Album, Single (video)

After parting ways with Jive Records and finding a new label home at L.A. Reid’s Epic Records, Ciara has announced the title of her upcoming fifth album and single.

During an interview with MTV to promote the new Adam Sandler film That’s My Boy, Ciara revealed that her new LP will be called One Woman Army and that the single “Sweat” will arrive soon.

“I’m excited. I’m back with L.A. Reid, who is the reason why I’m here,” she said. It’s 10 years since, and I’m finishing up my album called One Woman Army. You guys are going to be in for a treat very soon, my new single ‘Sweat’ will be coming as well.”

Her last album, Basic Instinct, debuted at No. 44 on the Billboard 200 with 37,000 copies sold. It marked her lowest selling debut on the charts in her career.

Chris Brown and Fabolous laughed it up as they sat courtside together at Madison Square Garden in New York City last night (Wed. Dec 22) as they watched the New York Knicks take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. The R&B singer and rapper also met up backstage with Ciara, who was also spotted in the crowd at the game.
