Janet Jackson May Sue Over False Reports She Assaulted Niece Paris

August 1st, 2012 | By

We all watched the video of Janet Jackson going in on her niece Paris last week and saw her try to snatch her phone. Well today, Janet’s attorney, Blair G. Brown, tells The Insider that Janet vehemently denies the altercation.

“Ms. Jackson did not slap Paris, and did not call her a ‘spoiled little bitch’ or a ‘bitch,’” says Brown.

According to Brown, Janet is threatening legal action towards the source that originally reported the claims. Brown says that the “false statements are highly damaging to Ms. Jackson’s reputation and have caused her significant harm.”

This Jackson drama really needs to stop!!!!!

Janet Jackson Announces New Documentary Film

June 6th, 2012 | By love not hate

Queen of Pop Janet Jackson may be taking her time with her musical comeback, yet that hasn’t stopped her from re-diving into the world of film.

Instead of acting, though, the 46 year old year old’s latest project sees her executive producing a new documentary filmed christened ‘Truth’.

Set to begin production this Summer, the docu-film will chronicle the the lives of trans and non gendered people around the world and their epic struggle for equality.

Jackson, who is a long-term ally of the LGBT community, and past recipient of GLAAD Media Vanguard Award, is excited to lead this project and will be extensively involved in the production, as well as conducting some of the on-camera interviews.
“All people are very important to me. I’ve been fortunate to make friends and learn about very different lives.  ‘Truth‘ is our small chance to ask that you try and understand someone who lives their life in a way that is a little bit different from yours, even though all of our hearts are the same.  We want to stop the hate and find understanding.”
Speaking on Jackson’s involvement with the project, its director says director Robert Jason said:
“Janet Jackson will take us on a visually innovative, cerebral journey through the turbulent lives of transgendered people of all ages around the world and their epic struggle for equality. This film will highlight landmark mainstream stories and provide a glimpse at others that will change the gender landscape of the world forever. Just as it is hard to believe that there ever was a time when different components of society were required to use separate drinking fountains, it is as incredible that one’s gender expression remains just such a target for discrimination.”

‘Truth’ serves as Janet’s second executive producing title following ‘Janet Jackson: The Rhythm Nation Compilation’.  Her current production slate also includes an untitled project for Lionsgate.

Janet Jackson Speaks on Nicki Minaj’s Wardrobe Malfunction

August 19th, 2011 | By love not hate

In a recent interview with the Star Tribune Ms. Jackson opened up about a series of things. However, she was sure to comment on the recent nip slips that have occured. Jon Bream of the Star Tribune asked her:

Q: Now that Nicki Minaj and others have had wardrobe malfunctions on TV, how do you feel about what happened to you because of your wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl?

A: Well, I am sorry that it has happened to others. It is not a great feeling and I sympathize with them. I find it interesting in my case that I am the only person who it seems to still come up for.

Basically, she wants everybody to stop putting her name at the fore front of nip slip mishaps! The interview included other interesting tid bits about her take on the music business today and of course the death of her brother Michael. Janet feels as if the artist has to be a lot more involved in the promotion of their name compared to the past when the record label would simply do it for the artist. She also said that performing Scream without her brother MJ is “therapeutic”. Overall, the interview showed Janet opening up a bit about the status of today’s performers. What do you think of her comment though in regards to her name still coming up in wardrobe malfunctions?
