Lady Gaga ‘Installs £40,000 Fish Tank In Home For Company

March 5th, 2013 | By love not hate

The ‘Poker Face’ singer will be resting at home for the next few weeks to recover from the operation she underwent in February after tearing her right hip during her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour which she was forced to cancel after being left unable to walk.

While she may be holed up at home, Gaga, 26, has found some friends to keep her company, reportedly splashing out thousands of dollars on 27 koi carp.

“Gaga said she’d had a dream about the fish so she had her team source some koi and set up a massive tank,” a source told The Sun.

“The whole exercise cost over £40,000, which is a lot to most people but small change to her.”

Just hours after her surgery, Gaga wrote a touching letter to her fans, crediting them for “giving her strength” to get through the operation.

“Monsters, you really gave me a lot of strength today. Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it I reflected on the many stories and experiences you’ve shared with me about your lives,” Gaga wrote on her LittleMonsters.com blog.

“As they wheeled me into surgery today, I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles, sometimes you are so brave that it terrifies me. I wonder how it’s even possible.”

Lady Gaga’s hair stylist quits; says she’s a devil worshipper

September 19th, 2011 | By love not hate

The Internet is buzzing about Lady Gaga’s hair stylist suddenly quitting after accusing her of being a devil worshipper — which is what everyone thought she was anyway. Michael Pooter, who cut Gaga’s hair since January 2010, took his family and went into hiding after making some wild accusations about the pop star.

Pooter said he decided to quit because he couldn’t take her staring at him anymore. He said in an interview for “Stylists of the Whores” magazine that when he confronted her about the staring, she told him she would eat his children if he ever told anyone

“She was usually liquored up on cheap whiskey when she came in for treatment. One day, when she was mumbling more than normal, which I found out later was her actually speaking in tongues, I saw the number 666 on her scalp and I quickly asked for God to protect me. She rose up out of her chair and floated 3 feet above the ground while yelling…..”

“YOUR GOD IS NOT HERE MICHAEL. NOR WILL HE EVER BE. NOW GIVE ME SOME MORE HIGHLIGHTS AND TRIM MY BANGS YOU WORTHLESS *beep*!”

Will these new revelations cause you to stop listening to her music? Or will you assume that her hair stylist is very likely a paranoid schizophrenic with religious persecutions?

Lady Gaga on the Rolling Stone!

May 25th, 2011 | By love not hate

The new issue of Rolling Stone, on stands and in the digital archive on May 27th, includes an in-depth cover story of Lady Gaga by writer Brian Hiatt, who was given intimate, fly-on-the wall access to the pop superstar as she played the final dates of her Monster Ball Tour and put the finishing touches on her new album Born This Way. “When I am not onstage I feel dead,” she says. “Whether that is healthy or not to you, or healthy or not to anyone, or a doctor, is really of no concern to me. I don’t feel alive unless I’m performing, and that’s just the way I was born.”

In the story, Gaga reveals that she’s recently derived a lot of inspiration from an unlikely source: Rocky IV. “My favorite part is when Apollo’s ex-trainer says to Rocky, ‘He is not a machine. He’s a man. Cut him, and once he feels his own blood, he will fear you.’ I know it sounds crazy, but I was thinking about the machine of the music industry. I started to think about how I have to make the music industry bleed to remind it that it’s human, it’s not a machine.”

Other highlights:

• When Gaga first blew up in early 2009, people had a hard time accepting her outrageous wardrobe and public persona. “Being myself in public was very difficult,” she says. “I was being poked and probed and people would actually touch me and touch my clothes and be like, ‘What the fuck is that,’ just so awful. It was like I was being bullied by music lovers, because they couldn’t possibly believe that I was genuine.”

• Gaga was also teased mercilessly in high school. “Being teased for being ugly, having a big nose, being annoying,” she says. “’Your laugh is funny, you’re weird, why do you always sing, why are you so into theater, why do you do your make-up like that?’ . . . I used to be called a slut, be called this, be called that, I didn’t even want to go to school sometimes.”

• While offstage, she’s taken to wearing lots of clothing given to her by fans. “We have this umbilical cord that I don’t want to cut, ever,” she says. “I don’t feel that they suck me dry. It would be so mean, wouldn’t it, to say, ‘For the next month, I’m going to cut myself off from my fans so I can be a person.’ What does that mean? They are part of my person, they are so much of my person. They’re at least 50 percent, if not more.”

• She is annoyed at the suggestion by some critics that her main goal is to attract attention. “I have attention,” she says, and begins addressing her critics directly. “Is it that you believe that I am attention-seeking or shock for shock’s sake, or is it just that it’s been a long time since someone has embraced the art form the way that I have? Perhaps it’s been a couple of decades since there’s been an artist that’s been as vocal about culture, religion, human rights, politics. I’m so passionate about what I do, every bass line, every EQ. Why is it that you don’t want more from the artist, why is it that you expect so little, so when I give and give, you assume it’s narcissistic?”

Lady Gaga breaks down in tears as she reveals ‘I still feel like a loser’

April 26th, 2011 | By love not hate

A clip from the forthcoming programme shows the Born This Way singer reveal her deepest insecurities.

The star is seen in her dressing room getting ready just before a show at Madison Square Garden in New York.

As she talks into the mirror, Gaga stars to cry saying: ‘I still sometimes feel like a loser kid in high school and I just have to pick myself up and tell myself that I’m a superstar every morning so that I can get through this day and be for my fans what they need for me to be.

‘But sometimes I still feel like people are trying to destroy me. I cannot be destroyed, I will not be destroyed and you will never destroy the kingdom that is my fans.’

Her make-up artist gives her a comforting pat on the back as Gaga added that she owed it to her fans to be a ‘winner’.

‘I just wanna be a queen for them and sometimes I don’t feel like one. It’s not about being a winner for me any more. It’s about being a winner for all of them.’

She then starts to pray and asks God for courage before going on stage.

Gaga recently revealed in an interview with Google that she is still haunted by memories of bullying at school.

She said: ‘I say this with so much genuineness in my heart: Bullying stays with you your whole life: I was never the winner, I was always the loser, and that still stays with me.’

The HBO special will be broadcast on May 7 while Gaga is also set to premiere her video for Judas on American Idol, according to MTV News.

Lady Gaga says SORRY to MADONNA

April 22nd, 2011 | By love not hate

The 25-year-old was firing back at accusations that her song “Born This Way” is a rip-off of Madonna’s “Express Yourself,” saying, “I’m a songwriter. I’ve written loads of music. Why would I try to put out a song and think I’m getting one over on everybody? That’s retarded.”

That’s not all:

“If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression,” Gaga told NME. “It’s the same one that’s been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I’m the first f-ing artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn’t mean I’m a plaigarist, it means I’m f-ing smart. Sorry.”

But, as Jennifer Aniston learned last year, dropping the “R” word is not OK, and Gaga’s since apologized.

“I consider it part of my life’s work and music to push the boundaries of love and acceptance,” Gaga told CNN in a statement. “My apologies for not speaking thoughtfully. To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional.”

She continues, “An honest mistake, requires honesty to make. Whether life’s disabilities, left you outcast bullied or teased, rejoice and love yourself today.”
