Snoop Dogg Changes His Name

West coast rap legend Snoop Dogg has jumped on the “reinvent yourself” train with Diddy, aka P. Diddy, aka Puff Daddy and instead of being the “top dogg”, he’s now a LION. That’s right, the leader of the Dog Pound has changed his name to Snoop Lion.

Snoop, who has been spending lots of time in Jamaica spoke in a press conference Monday that he has had an awakening and is done with hip-hop.

The former gangsta rapper will be dropping a new reggae album titled ‘Reincarnated’ and to top it all off, Snoop added that he connected with Bob Marley’s spirit while in Jamaica and is now “Bob Marley reincarnated“, hence the album title.

Snoop Dogg banned from Norway!

Norway is saying no way to Snoop Dogg  –  at least for a few years.  The rapper has been banned from the country for two years following his arrest last month for marijuana possession.  Snoop was sniffed out by a canine unit while on his way to a music festival.  Authorities reportedly found eight grams of marijuana in his luggage.  He also had too much money on hand and was cited for carrying more than the legal limit of cash into the country.  Snoop was fined 86-hundred dollars after owning up to the charges.  According to the “New York Daily Mail,” Snoop’s legal rep in Norway says the rapper “can live with the decision” and has no immediate plans to appeal his two-year ban.

Snoop is planning another trip out of the country this weekend.  He’s headed to Canada, where he’s scheduled to make his live debut as a reggae artist at Toronto’s Caribana festival on Friday.

Snoop Dogg busted in Norway with marijuana

Norwegian media are reporting that Snoop Dogg was briefly detained in Norway  after entering the country with marijuana and a large amount of cash.

Customs officials decline to confirm the report, saying only that an American  artist entered Norway with a small amount of marijuana that was detected by a  sniffer-dog. Norwegian law prevents law enforcement officials from naming  suspects.

A customs officer who spoke on condition of anonymity said Thursday that the  artist was also carrying more cash than is legally allowed and was subsequently  fined 52,000 kroner ($8,600) for the violations.

Snoop Dogg was scheduled to perform Thursday at a musical festival in the  southern town of Kristiansand.

The rapper, whose name is Calvin Broadus, has in the past been arrested on  marijuana possession

There’s A Charlie Sheen, Diddy & Snoop Dogg Collabo In The Works?

Charlie Sheen who was once famous for being on hit show “Two and a Half Men,” but now is known around the world as a self-proclaimed warlock and tiger blood enthusiast, has been very busy since launching his full scale assault on former employer CBS. From amassing 1 million Twitter followers in one day and thus making it into the Guinness Book of World Records, trying to hire an intern (from 75,000 applications), fending off attorneys and ex-wives, giving rambling interviews to practically every news station in the country, and writing material for his one man show, it seems like Charlie Sheen’s name is everywhere, and on everybody’s lips.

And as PopEater reports, now the hip-hop community is starting to take notice and wants a piece of the action. Diddy was seen at Sheen’s house over the weekend, and while no details have been reported about what the meeting (read: party) was all about, if the photograph Sheen twit-picked of himself and Snoop Dogg (along with former Korn member Robert Patterson) at a recording session, is anything to go by, perhaps a Diddy/Sheen collab is in the works too.

Of the recording session with Snoop and Patterson, Sheen tweeted; “Warlock meets his makers-music makers that is @SnoopDogg @robpatterson666 get ready to rock the Sheenius within!”

I have no idea what this music is going to sound like, but you can practically guarantee that, judging by Sheen’s track record, even if it is a hot mess, the track will be a hit. Although, I’m not sure that’s a good thing…

Cameron Diaz Says She Bought Weed From Snoop Dogg In High School (VIDEO)

On and off screen beauty Cameron Diaz admits to buying weed from rapper Snoop Dogg in highschool. They both attended the same school even though Snoop is a year older than the actress.

Cameron visited the “Lopez Tonight” where she said:

““We went to high school together, he was a year older than me….He was very tall and skinny and wore lots of ponytails in his hair and I’m pretty sure I got weed from him. I had to have!”

The two attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School. Whether the starlett was joking or not, it’s cool that she has a sense of humor!

Snoop Dogg Unveils New Adidas Shoe

Snoop Dogg is continuing his branding stampede pairing withAdidas to release a new sneaker.  Snoop rocked a pair at his“Purp & Yellow” video shoot and told DJ Skee, “They coming out real soon for NBA All-Star weekend. Be sure to get you a pair of them.”

Snoop is very familiar with using his name and likeness to sell products, the Long Beach native released a shoe line with Pony in 2005 called Doggy Biscuitz and partnered with TomTom a few years ago lending his smooth vocals and slang to their GPS system for automobiles.

Sneakerfiles.com posted pics of the black, purple and yellow footwear, they will be available on February 11th.

A SNOOP DOGG / WIZ KHALIFA MOVIE?

A lil birdie told me that Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg are set to star in a new movie. Not sure what the movie is about, but for some reason I think smoke will be a part it of.
